With just five basic ingredients and ten minutes of your time you could have one of the best homemade caramel sauces ever!! No thermometer needed and it stays soft in the fridge!
This stuff is so delicious you are going to be looking around for things to put it on! I know, because that is what I do after I make a batch. Ice cream of course is the obvious choice, but I love to drizzle sliced apples with it, dip pretzel rods into it, and it is fabulous over a warm slice of apple pie! The possibilities are endless, especially if you love caramel as much as I do. I have even been known to add a teaspoon or two into my cup of coffee.
This stuff is irresistible! My youngest daughter Mia, actually caught me red handed just a few moments ago eating a spoonful straight out of the jar! She asked me what I was doing and I answered her by feeding her a spoonful of caramel and saying “this stays between us!”. She nodded and walked away. That’s my baby!
If you are a caramel lover and are looking for a simple and easy Homemade Caramel Sauce to have on hand when your craving hits, give my recipe a try.
Enjoy!
