Buffalo Chicken Burgers

If your family is like mine, then they love a burger. The only thing they love more than a burger is a chicken wing! So what could be better than a Buffalo Chicken Burger? It’s the best of both worlds!
And since we aren’t doing any frying and using lean ground chicken it’s a healthy way to satisfy your chicken wing craving. It’s a meal you can feel good about serving to your family.
I’ve found that prepping the meat mixture and forming the burgers ahead of time is not only a time saver, but it also allows the meat to really absorb all the seasonings and wing sauce, which makes for a really flavorful burger.
You can let your imagination run wild when it comes to toppings and sauces. I decided to go with some lettuce for crunch and I whipped up a simple blue cheese dressing to really bring home the taste of an authentic chicken wing. A toasted sweet Hawaiian roll was the perfect finishing touch! But feel free to add tons of veggies and even some cheese to make this burger all your own.
I used my stove-top griddle to cook these since they are a more delicate burger. I just didn’t think they would hold up on the outdoor grill. The griddle worked great and they cooked up in no time. A sauté pan would work well also, just be sure to prep your pan with cooking spray so the patties don’t stick.
I served these Buffalo Chicken Burgers with a side of some homemade carrot fries and it was a great weeknight meal that my family really enjoyed!

Buffalo Chicken Burgers Recipe
2 lbs of ground chicken
2 Tbs dried minced onion
1 1/2 Tbs Goya Abodo seasoning
2 Tbs dried parsley
1/2 C Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 C panko bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Blue Cheese Sauce
6 ounces of blue cheese crumbles
1/2 C sour cream
1/4 C milk
Splash of lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
For the Burgers
In a medium bowl combine all ingredients for burgers  and combine.
Using your hands form the mixture into equal size patties and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate the patties for at least one hour to let flavor develop.
Preheat your griddle on medium heat and spray with cooking spray and place patties on griddle.
Cook for about ten minutes and then flip and cook for another ten minutes or until meat is cooked all the way through.
Blue Cheese Sauce
Add all the ingredients into a small bowl and mix well being sure to smush some of the blue cheese crumbles into the mixture, salt and pepper to taste. Keep in fridge until ready to use.
